The Projects of CRC 871

The Collaborative Research Center 871 consists of four Project Areas: A, B, C and D which are divided into individual Subprojects.

In order to ensure the coherence among the individual projects in terms of content and method, a capital good was chosen by the CRC 871 with which it is possible to develop  systematic approaches. These approaches are necessary for model-based planning and for carrying out the regeneration of complex capital goods. The working hypotheses of the CRC 871 can be verified especially well by using an aircraft engine, because of its challenging functionalities and technicalities.
